The abalone skirts/trim is removed during the process of making our abalone steaks. Since the trim meat is firm, we recommend it for soups/chowders. After bringing the trim to a boil, simmer until meat is tender. At that point the abalone trim will be clam tender and ready to be added to your favorite recipes.
